Creato dall'equipaggio dello yacht per l'equipaggio dello yacht con l'aiuto di una comunità di vela, comunità di yachting e famiglia (letteralmente)... il nostro chimico è parte della famiglia!
Siamo guidati da due Capitani Master Mariner e da uno specialista in Chimica/Biologia che hanno tutti l'intuizione perfetta e collegamenti per testare SU YACHT REALI e non solo in laboratorio o a breve termine.
Come marinai professionisti abbiamo notato che tutti i cosiddetti prodotti "biodegradabili" contenevano "TOSSINE ACUTE ACUTE" secondo il codice IMDG o avevano schede di sicurezza (SDS), semplicemente falsificate che dichiaravano "segreti commerciali proprietari". Tutte le etichette dicevano "Biodegradabile" e alcune addirittura rivendicavano l'approvazione di MARPOL e CLEAN MARINAS. Alcuni sono stati addirittura abbastanza audaci da elencare gli allegati MARPOL che non esistevano.
Il vero problema è che più approfondivamo, più scoprivamo che la maggior parte dei produttori di prodotti che vendono "SAPONE PER BARCA" utilizzano un set di dati sulla tossicità basato sulle falde acquifere terrestri, ma peggio ancora, oltre il 75% erano semplicemente saponi per auto con etichetta bianca rimarchiati con un marchio pochi cambi di ingredienti per vernici marine più morbide. Con questa conoscenza e le linee guida MARPOL completamente poco chiare, abbiamo deciso di creare ciò che crediamo non solo soddisfi la convenzione, ma potrebbe anche gettare le basi per una regolamentazione del settore veramente eco-consapevole per yacht e imbarcazioni di tutte le dimensioni.

La nostra idea originale era trovare un modo più semplice e meno tossico per pulire il teak sui superyacht. Il peggior lavoro di ogni marinaio, la manutenzione del teak è come un'opinione, tutti ne hanno una, ogni impresa di pulizie afferma di avere il meglio. Quindi, con questo in mente, abbiamo intrapreso una missione di lavoro di tre anni per creare "forse il miglior detergente per teak al mondo" che avrebbe cambiato opinioni, non avrebbe bruciato l'acciaio o la pelle ed è stato progettato da zero per parlare con il teak. (TECTONA GRANDIS) stimolando il suo ambiente naturale di crescita del PH e i tannini che gli conferiscono il bellissimo bagliore dorato.

Dopo esserci stabiliti su 50 navi in 1 anno con il 100% di attività ripetute, abbiamo iniziato a presentare i nostri altri detergenti che utilizzano ingredienti acquatici trasparenti e biodegradabili, DIPENDENTI DALL'USO E DAL DERIVATO.

Salpa avanti per un altro anno e nel 2024 cresciamo con più prodotti che i nostri clienti amano, proponendo nuove idee e amando il viaggio.

With a lifetime spent on the water, Tristan brings unmatched expertise to Simple Sailor. A Master 3000 and Fleet Captain, he continues to hold senior roles onboard while overseeing yachts ranging from 30ft to 312ft. His experience spans the Royal Navy, Antarctic Survey, and the world’s most prestigious superyachts.

His deep understanding of yacht maintenance and environmental responsibility led him to create cleaning solutions that truly work—tested on real vessels, not just in labs. Under his leadership, Simple Sailor is setting a new standard for professional-grade, high-performance, and eco-conscious marine cleaning.
McKenzie Abele
Co-Founder
With a degree in biology and a years of exposure to luxury yachting, McKenzie bridges the gap between science and real-world onboard care. Her deep understanding of marine ecosystems drives her commitment to crafting solutions that are both highly effective and environmentally responsible.

As a seasoned superyacht captain, Will has spent his life at sea, working on yachts from 150ft to over 400ft. His experience as a Royal Navy officer and in luxury yachting gives him a unique, detail-oriented perspective on what truly works onboard.
As the driving force behind Simple Sailor’s product innovation, he combines hands-on expertise with a passion for creating solutions that simplify yacht maintenance while enhancing efficiency and sustainability. Designed by yacht crew, for yacht crew, his products meet the highest standards — because he knows firsthand what they need.

Team Bonding Manager
As Simple Sailor’s beloved Team Bonding Manager, Bella takes her role very seriously — when she’s not snoozing, that is. This fluffy Whoodle brings joy and morale-boosting cuddles to the crew, ensuring everyone stays in high spirits.

She’s a connoisseur of McDonald’s ice cream cones and never says no to a treat. However, she’s not a fan of fireworks or bearded men (nothing personal). Whether she’s overseeing team meetings or demanding belly rubs, Bella keeps the Simple Sailor crew motivated — one wag at a time.

Chief Energy Officer
Poppy brings unstoppable enthusiasm to the Simple Sailor team as our Chief Energy Officer. This high-speed Collie mix is always on the move, whether it’s chasing the wind, sniffing out every corner, or keeping a watchful eye on those pesky squirrels and birds (her sworn enemies).
