Tested and refined by professional yacht crew, this brush is built to tackle tough teak grime and non-skid without damaging the surface or polluting the ocean. It scrubs like a green 180-grit pad, without the synthetic shedding.

The Story Behind the Scrub

Every year, an estimated 5,000 tons of microplastics enter our oceans from plastic-based scrub pads — most of them used on yachts. We knew there had to be a better way.

So we created one.
Our Eco Scrub Brush is biodegradable, compostable, and made with plant-based resins that naturally break down in saltwater. It’s tough on dirt, gentle on decks, and completely guilt-free.

The IMO and MARPOL Codes do not yet have a list of approved, straight-to-the-point chemicals for deck washing, but they do point sailors to the IMDG code for guidance. Avoid greenwashing by shunning labels showing CLEAN MARINAS or MARPOL ANNEX 8 COMPLIANT.

Although we'd love to use a ship to send you our teak cleaner its easier to send by van, truck, rail or air in the U.S. Shipping is free for orders over $100 and $15 for all orders under $100 with standard expedited 3 day shipping. Note: for orders over $500 we charge shipping but at a discounted rate. Pallet size orders are $450.

We are so confident in this product that we don't offer a return. However, we are happy to refund if you are dissatisfied with our products proving proof of damaged container upon receipt or failure to work as suggested in instructions.

A GAME CHANGER

This chisel is soooo much better than using razor blades. We saved dozens of hours. It is also way better on the teak as the way it is designed ensures it doesn't catch or gouge. It's very satisfying to use and made what is usually an arduous task actually oddly satisfying. You can see in the photo that the strips of the mastic are very long (feet vs the inches you get with blades).
