Does your teak have stubborn dark stains from olive oil, croissant crumbs, salty footprints with sunscreen, or even rust and engineer marks? We've got the solution! The Simple Sailor Teak Dark Spot Remover is a spray-on, let-dwell, and forget formula that neutralizes the cause of dark spots, leaving your teak seamlessly restored to the same color as the surrounding wood. No scrubbing or rinsing required.
HARDCORE ECO-FRIENDLY
- Made with eco-friendly raw ingredients, including EPA Safer Choice certified components.
- Safe to use on Silane & Siloxane caulks.
- Powered by a clever mix of acids and coconut surfactants, this formula won’t leave a residue or alter the color of your teak, except to return it to its natural beauty.
- Non-runoff formula has zero impact on the ocean and is completely safe for marine environments.
HOW TO USE FOR PERFECT RESULTS
- Gear up: Wear gloves—channel your inner teak doctor.
- Locate: Identify dark spots caused by salt, rust, or any mysterious stains.
- Spray: For heavy oil stains, first apply the Oil Spot Remover Spray and let it dry. For light oil stains, spray the Simple Sailor Teak Dark Spot Remover directly on the stain while the teak is wet.
- Wait: Let the formula sit until the stain disappears—typically within 1-30 minutes, depending on the required pH change.
- Wipe: Once the stain is gone, wipe the area with a damp microfiber cloth, and you’re done.
- Get back to enjoying your teak without the hassle!
Caution: Skin and eye irritant. See MSDS for details (QR BELOW). *

The IMO and MARPOL Codes do not yet have a list of approved, straight-to-the-point chemicals for deck washing, but they do point sailors to the IMDG code for guidance. Avoid greenwashing by shunning labels showing CLEAN MARINAS or MARPOL ANNEX 8 COMPLIANT.
Warning: Decks slippery when solution applied, tread carefully!
